Braces Lingual braces (braces behind your teeth) potentially could interfere with some wind instruments but it would depend specifically and what I would be recommending is to talk in more detail about the kind of instrument you use, how you use it and then understanding which braces might be recommended for you.
A very good question. For contact sports it’s important to wear a mouth guard. You can get mouth guards that are specifically designed to be worn with braces with space for the brace to be in position. An example would be ‘Shock Doctor’. They make a variety of different mouth guards which can work.

Smoking isn’t advised anyway but it doesn’t actually impact things too much so many people do smoke, even though they shouldn’t, during the treatment.
There are restrictions depending on the type of brace you have. So, if you have a fixed brace you shouldn’t have very hard items. You should be careful about those things and I wouldn’t recommend having sticky foods. It you have a removable brace there isn’t too much restriction.
